BSI gains swift accreditation by ANAB to ISO/IEC 17021:2011

Press release - 2nd March 2012

(USA, Reston, VA and UK, London) March 2, 2012 - BSI Group (BSI), the world’s leading registrar and provider of risk-based solutions designed to protect brand and reputation, is one of the first certification bodies (CBs) to be accredited to ISO/IEC 17021:2011.

Under accreditation Rule 41 ANAB has informed CBs of the requirement to transition from ISO/IEC 17021:2006 to ISO/IEC 17021:2011 on or before January 31, 2013.

One of the key requirements for an Aviation, Space and Defense (ASD) Quality Management System Certification Program under AS9104-1 is that the CB has to be accredited to ISO/IEC 17021:2011. BSI has already made this transition, which can be found on ANAB’s website. BSI is the largest CB to have received this accreditation, to-date.

ANAB assesses and accredits CBs that demonstrate competence to audit and certify organizations to management system standards. BSI are the standards experts that help businesses make excellence a habit.
